Majid Al Futtaim’s malls in Dubai create toys from visitor’s Pictionary sketches and gift to children from the Red Crescent charity
Dubai, UAE; September, 2016: Majid Al Futtaim’s Mall of the Emirates, City Centres Deira, Mirdif, Me’aisem and Al Shindagha successfully brought the well-loved family board game PICTIONARY to life, which saw shoppers test their artistic skills and enjoy a lot of laughs along the way.
Visitors had the chance to play in teams, win great prizes and surprises, and have the opportunity for one of their original sketches to be made into a real-life plush toy. Ten sketches were chosen and brought to life to create fifty cute toys. The adorable toys were gifted to children from the local charity Red Crescent at City Centre Mirdif. The children were treated to a fun day in the mall with experiences at Little Explorers and Magic Planet as well as dinner at Romano’s Macaroni Grill.
“It has been pleasure to host the group of children from the Red Crescent here at City Centre Mirdif and to see their reaction to the unique toys we created as part of the Pictionary activation,” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Senior Director – Property Management, Shopping Malls for Majid Al Futtaim, “We delivered a whole new family experience with the life-sized version of the world famous drawing game following the success of last year’s award winning Monopoly campaign. We look forward to creating more great moments for families and children like those we have spent time with today from the Red Crescent charity”
Mohammed Abdullah Alhaj Al Zarouni, General Manager, Red Crescent said, “We are always keen to participate in the activities and programs for the orphans. Today, the Red Crescent takes care of 140,000 orphans around the world across 28 countries, at the cost of AED1.5 billion.
