Dubai Municipality supports charity Iftar project
As part of its constant keenness to launch and support excellent beneficial community initiatives, Dubai Municipality has offered its contribution to the Ramadan Iftar project of Beit Al Khair Society. Mohammed Mubarak Al Mutaiwei, Assistant Director General for Communication and Community Affairs, handed over a cheque for AED 135,000 to the Society in support of its Ramadan Iftar project, through which it provides Iftar meals to 300 people. The cheque was received by Saeed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Deputy Director General of the Society.
Al Mutaiwei stressed that Dubai Municipality is one of the major government departments that is keen on activating charity work, creating a culture of social solidarity and supporting noble issues.
“We support the humanitarian efforts of Beit Al Khair Society, which offers, implements and supervises many charitable projects in various Arab and Islamic countries, which has had a great impact on spreading the teachings of Islam and spreading the spirit of social solidarity among Muslims, to reaffirm the depth of the Municipality's commitment to support constructive community initiatives in various fields,” he added.
“Dubai Municipality always welcomes offering constant support to community organisations to raise the level of services provided by these organisations to the society to keep pace with the developments taking place in Dubai in various fields and at various levels and in line with the directives of the Government of Dubai,” said Al Mutaiwei.
