DCL meets traders and manufacturers of building materials
Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) recently organised a forum for its customers in the category of traders and manufacturers of construction materials.
The forum was attended by a delegation from the Civil Defence and a large gathering of representatives of factories, consultants, contractors as well as DCL’s partners, who are working in the field of certification, calibration and inspections of building materials.
Eng. Amin Ahmed, Director of DCL, said that Dubai Municipality is keen to take all their suggestions and observations into account as one of the main sources of creativity, innovation and facilitation in the services provided to them.
“Through this forum, we have tried to meet the representatives of the factories of thermal insulation products, contractors and construction consultants, to focus on their needs to come up with the best solutions to satisfy them and meet their requirements,” he said.
Rashed Tahir, Senior Product Quality Officer gave a presentation on the most important outputs of the previous customer forum and the action taken on that, in addition to the efforts made by the Product Conformity Assessment Section to make the customers happy. This was followed by a presentation of the Building Materials Laboratories Section by Eng. Mohammed Darwish, Head of Infrastructural Products Unit. The presentation dealt with the new services of the Section and the advanced tests of various products of building materials. Ahmed also distributed certificates and souvenirs to the Civil Defence delegation and the customers, who were honoured.
